SWK 606 Engaging Social Justice, Diversity, and Inclusion in Practice
(3-0-3) This course is designed to increase awareness, knowledge, and skills related to anti-oppressive social work practice. Students will consider social work practice within the context of human rights, social, economic, and environmental justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. The coursework will emphasize the importance of self-reflection, challenging students to process how personal biases, intersectionality, social empathy, cultural humility, and lived experiences impact practice. Admission to the MSW Program is required.
