SWK 601 Introduction to MSW Practice
(3-0-3) For some students seeking Advanced Standing status, this "bridge" course is designed to stress the importance of critical thinking, ethical problem-solving, anti-racist positioning, and the use of informational resources in making decisions as a graduate level social worker. The course will survey a variety of foundational social work topics and will ensure the student is prepared with the knowledge and skills to be unconditionally admitted to the Advanced Standing MSW program. Conditional admission to the Advanced Standing program is required.
