SWK 605 History and Ethics of Social Work Practice

(3-0-3) The course examines historical attitudes, values and practices that influenced the evolution of the American social welfare system. The development of the profession of social work will be studied with a particular focus on the ethical foundation of the profession and the application of ethics to specific cases. Admission to the MSW Program is required.
