SE 898 Candidacy
(0-0-0) This course encompasses the Qualifying Exam and Proposal Defense. All core and specialization courses must be completed prior to registering for SE 898 - Candidacy. Formal admission to candidacy requires passing SE 898 (grades on pass-fail basis). Students are permitted a maximum of two (2) attempts for the exam. If the student fails to pass the qualifying exam after two attempts OR fails to successfully defend the dissertation proposal on the first attempt, then the student will be dismissed from the D.Eng. program. Petition required.
