SE 801 Fundamentals of Systems Thinking and Modeling
(3-0-3) This course introduces students to the core concepts of systems thinking, emphasizing holistic perspectives, interconnections, feedback loops, and emergent behavior. It covers various systems modeling techniques (e.g., discrete event simulation, system dynamics, agent-based modeling), their applications, and their limitations. Admission to the Systems Engineering Doctoral program, or department approval, is required.
