EDGC 675 Substance Abuse and Addictions
(3-0-3) This course is designed to help students gain insight and understanding of the impact of addictions to clients and their respective systems, including school and community settings. The course provides an overview of addictions etiology, types of addictions, theories of addiction, and recovery strategies. The course is designed as an introductory course to familiarize students with addictions counseling and available community resources for counselors and clients with addiction issues.
