PSY 678 Internship

(1 to 3 hrs.) Placement in a clinical setting that involves application of skills in diagnosis, assessment, and/or psychological interventions. Interns are expected to have responsibility for direct client care in these areas, under the supervision of licensed onsite and faculty clinicians. Three credit hours of internship are required for the program, usually taken in the summer of the second year. Three credit hours will require 500 onsite hours, with a minimum of 35% direct client contact. This course may be repeated for an additional three credit hours with faculty approval.

Petition required. Students must have earned a "B" or better in all clinical courses and must have at least a 3.0 overall grade point average.
