SWK 470 Introduction to Substance Use Disorder Counseling

(3-0-3) This course will introduce students to evidence-based approaches for working with persons with substance use disorders. Students will explore assessment and diagnosis of substance use disorders, treatment planning, individual counseling, and group and family counseling, and will learn about unique considerations when working with special populations and diverse cultures.
