ART 461 18th Century European Art

(3-0-3) General survey of 18th-century painting, sculpture, and architecture in Europe and its colonies. While tracing canonical artists and monuments, students will also investigate how cross-cultural encounters, trade, diplomacy, and colonial expansion influenced artistic materials, technologies, and styles.
