PA 618 Appalachian Regional Issues & Foundations of Grant Development
(3-0-3) Explores current regional issues, including discussions of recent research, development of solutions to social and environmental problems, and state of the current research. Also provides an understanding of funding challenges in the nonprofit sector while demonstrating trends in philanthropy to build at least minimal knowledge of federal, state, and foundation funding sources as well as expand knowledge of the fundamental concepts and process of grant development/writing. Equates with SWK 618 and SOC 618.
