AED 470 Methods of Teaching Agriculture Education

(2-2-3) TEP Admission is required. An in-depth exploration of instructional methods for teaching agricultural education. The course covers the philosophy and objectives of comprehensive agricultural programs, including lesson planning, problem-solving techniques, lecture methods, classroom management and laboratory-based modules. Students will also learn about supervising occupational experience programs, such as Supervised Agriculture Experience Projects, Co-Op/work based placement programs. The course also includes a minimum of 28 hours of classroom/industry observations for field experience.
