GEO 349 Mapping Social Life

(2-2-3) Introduction to geographical information systems (GIS) and geospatial technologies tailored to social science applications in criminology, global studies, history, sociology, and political science. This course provides practical training for creating, manipulating, analyzing, and displaying spatial data using geospatial information systems and cartographic principles. Students apply these multidisciplinary techniques to real-world problems in a variety of fields.
