CRIM 355 Sociology of the Body
(3-0-3) An introduction to the sociological study of the body. Students explore the multifaceted interplay between culture, groups, identity, the Self, and the body. The social and cultural construction of bodies related to inequality based on race, class, gender, sexuality, disability and other dimensions are examined. Equates with GST 355, SWK 355, and SOC 355.
