HST 271 World History Since 1500

(3-0-3) This course will introduce students to the study of world cultures and provide an understanding of contemporary global issues. Using historical and literary texts, CD-ROM technology and films in a multimedia approach, students will examine selected social, political, economic and cultural phenomena in the context of world history. Equates with IST 201. This course satisfies the Level 2 Knowledge HUM requirement for general education.
