RSCI 206 Radiographic Anatomy, Positioning and Imaging Production I
(5-2-6) An intensive study of radiographic anatomy, positioning, and image evaluation to prepare for clinical experience in an affiliated healthcare agency's radiology department. Emphasis is on the radiographer's role and function in the performance of such imaging procedures as chest, bony thorax, abdomen, upper and lower extremity and selected contrast procedures. Students are expected to demonstrate skills to safely and
accurately perform a variety of imaging procedures under direct supervision. Five hours of didactic and two hours of laboratory experience per week.

Successful completion of the pre-radiologic science curriculum and official admission to the Radiologic Science Program
