Program Requirements

Students electing this concentration must complete one of the following plans:

PLAN A (Thesis)

At least 15 hours of the sociology credit must be earned in courses at the 600-level. Coursework must include:

Completion of 18 credit hours of approved graduate work in sociology

Graduate Sociology Electives

Completion of an approved thesis (six hours).

At least 18 hours of sociology electives must be earned in courses at the 600-level (three hours of independent study or independent research may be taken as part of the 18 hours at the 600-level). Coursework must include:
