NUR 385 Service Learning: Camp Nursing

Service Learning: Camp Nursing is a course designed to increase the students' understanding and appreciation of camp nursing and the camp experience for children who have experienced the loss of a loved one within the last year. Emphasis will be placed on bereavement, the grief process, growth and development and psychosocial adaptation of the school-age and adolescent child. The course has a seminar component during the spring semester with a field experience (camp) required during the Summer II term.
